Assignment Title: Case Study-Diverticular Disease

What I learned:  I learned about Diverticular disease and how to respond to a patient from a clinical nutrition approach with this condition.  I learned how to type up a reflection to this disease state, including pathophysiology of the disease, lab values, medication use and how to give medical nutrition therapy recommendations.

Reflection to assignment:  I really enjoyed doing this assignment.  I enjoyed becoming familiar with the disease and how nutrition therapy plays a role. 

Relevance to the profession:  One day I hope to work in the clinical nutrition field and this is a disease state that I will come across.  I am educated in the disease and how nutrition therapy plays an important role in one’s well being.
