Splenda an Acceptable Substitute for Sugar
NFSC 320: Science of Food
Assignment Title: Product Development Project
What I learned: In this assignment I learned how to develop a food product through scientific method and application of food science principles. It was a long process, but the end result was very interesting. Through many trials and errors my group and I were able to come up with a product that was accepted by some of the public.
Reflection to assignment: I really enjoyed doing this project. This was the only time in my college courses where I got to apply my food science skills and create a food product accepted by the public.
Relevance to the profession: With a nutrition degree I am capable of working in the food product development field. This is something that I have been interested in and I feel as though this assignment has helped further my knowledge about the topic.
